Ako ste zainteresovani za MMO Community u Kini, PlayNoEvil je napravio interesantnu temu po ovom pitanju... A evo šta smo izdvojili:
MMO Player Killed IRL by Rival Guild
Hardly a WoW guild, but probably something that will be heard a lot in China, and perhaps even in the western world. A 17-year old player of the dance MMO Audition was actually killed by 3 members from a rival guild. Two of the killers were 16, and the third was 21 years old. Still, I don't personally think that the MMO had anything as such to do with it (oh my, dangerous dance MMOs have such a bad influence on our kids!), there are murders related to any and every thing in the world. With millions of players on MMO games, there are bound to be sick people playing as well as ordinary blokes and chicks. More.
Pirate Server Operator gets 6 Years in Jail
This isn't about WoW, but as there is a problem with pirate (private, whatever) servers for WoW as well, it is slightly related. A man operated a Mir 3 pirate server and has been sentenced to 6 years in prison. I don't know if WoW pirate servers gain money on having them or not (and no need for any "enthusiasts" to post any info, it will be deleted), but this guy had earned a lot of cash on it, $370,000, since the beginning of 2003. This is the first successful prosecution of an online game pirate server in China, but I don't know if it could have any significance in the western world. Probably not, unless the pirate servers got money out of it. More.
