Ovo nije iznenadjenje, pošto Wrath of the Lich King License Agreement već nagoveštavao da će ovo da se desi.
U medjuvremenu, Vi možete da ažurirate vaš WoW Account sa Battle.net accountom, i oni se takodje merguju sa bilo kojim Blizzard Accountom kojeg ste imali ranije.
EU Battle.net site trenutno ima par stranica koje rade, ali US sajt radi savršeno, i možete da se prijavite na vaš WoW nalog. Trenutno Srbija nije u mogućnosti da merguje svoj nalog, niti da se prijavi na battle.net jer nekim razlogom nema naša zemlja na listi, i u toku su razgovori sa Blizzardom, zašto je to tako.
Ideja da se pusti Battle.net je da igrači registruju svoje ključeve na jednoj lokaciji, i korišćenje jednog naloga za sve Blizzardove igrice, kao i odredjene delove sajta. Dosta servisa je već i bilo dostupno putem Blizzard Accounta, ali on je samo sadržao ostale igre sem WoWa. Ovo je i prvi deo mergovanja svih Blizzard igara, a takodje mislimo da će Blizzard i premestiti WoW Foruma na Battle.net sa svim ostalim igrama, gde će zajedno činiti jedan veliki Community.
